About Tailored Lifestyles

Tailored Lifestyles was created by Lifestyle Coach Byron Morrison with one simple mission:

To help as many people as possible live healthier happier lives, by taking a holistic approach to improving their wellbeing.

So who is Byron Morrison?

I’m the author of the book ‘Become a Better You’, as well as a Lifestyle Coach.

I know firsthand exactly how daunting and overwhelming it can be. Just like most people, I used to struggle with the entire concept of what a healthier lifestyle is all about and why it is so important. I paid no attention to what I did or ate and lived a largely sedentary life, comprising of little to no physical activity, with a diet filled with highly refined and processed food.

I had absolutely no idea of just how much of an influence proper nutrition and lifestyle choices have on our health and it showed on a mental, physical and emotional level. I was nearly 50 pounds heavier and had huge problems with everything from managing stress to my relationships with food, self confidence, along with dealing with the ups and downs of everyday life. Everything was affected, from my overall wellbeing to my relationships, mind-set and general outlook on life.

As you can see from the picture a few years ago I looked older, exhausted, run down and visibly down on life.

And the truth is I never realised how bad I felt until I finally started to feel better, which is the unfortunate reality that so many people don’t even realise they are living in everyday.

It wasn’t until I nearly lost my dad to cancer and saw the pain and suffering he went through during the treatment (including 25 days in ICU, having most of his bowel surgically removed, being placed on life support and kept alive through the use breathing machines on two separate occasions, as well has having a tracheostomy) that it dawned on me how much of an influence his lifestyle choices had on causing the disease. From a diet high in sugar and processed foods, to being a pack-a-day smoker who did no exercise, all combined with having an overwhelmingly stressful career, working 14-hour days, with a minimal amount of sleep, it’s no surprise it took a toll on his health.

That’s why I made it my mission to help as many people as possible avoid going through what happened to my dad.

Qualifications

I’m qualified in nutrition, personal training and behaviour change coaching, as well as being trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

On top of that I also spent a couple of years doing in-depth research on everything from dieting to fat loss and behavioural psychology for my book ‘Become a Better You’.

I don’t do any diets, restriction and I definitely don’t sell any supplements.

Instead all my coaching is tailored specifically around you, to help you lose weight, find balance, regain your confidence and make maintainable changes to your lifestyle on the whole.
